Denis Epoh is the founder of Capwood Advisors, Capwood Partners and the QG brand. As such, he is currently acting as Capwood’s Managing Director and responsible for developing the Holding’s business and expansion in North America.
Mr. Epoh has extensive experience in business development, spanning over 35 years particularly in real estate investment, management, and development, as well as in hotel, F&B, and retail business management. He is known for his dynamism, his integrity, and his ability to build businesses with high-value creation potential.
Before creating his own company, Mr. Epoh held the position of Executive Vice President, Investments at Ivanhoe Cambridge Real Estate – subsidiary of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.
Previously, he joined SITQ in 1995 as an asset manager, then promoted to director of portfolio management and strategic planning. He was later promoted to the position of director of acquisitions. A couple of years later, he subsequently held the position of Vice President, heading North America Investments. After spending two years at PSP Investments, where he served as Vice President, responsible for global investments, he returned to SITQ in 2007 as Vice President, responsible for investments in emerging markets. In 2009, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships in the Caisse de Dépôt Real Estate Group. In 2010 he went back to SITQ as Senior Premier Vice President, Investments at SITQ. Throughout his 18 year career at the real estate group of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, he made several strategic investments around the globe to significantly expand and positively impact the group’s influence and performance.
Mr. Epoh holds a BA in Business Administration and an MBA in Real Estate Finance from the University of Laval. He was a member of several associations related to real estate in North America, including the Pension Real Estate Association, the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate and Urban Land Institute, in addition to the Association des MBA du Québec.
