With more than 30 years in the hospitality industry, Alan brings a variety of experience to the table. He worked his way through the hotel industry in a variety of positions, including the front office, housekeeping, maintenance, hotel renovations & new construction and acquisition & development. After attending the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, Mr. Hurd worked as a general manager with many branded hotels, including Comfort Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, Residence and Fairfield Inns. His experience with other brands also includes Radisson Hotels, Best Western, Marriott and Hilton brands. Mr. Hurd worked for Sterling Hotel Corporation, Sunstone Hotels, and Ocean Park Hotels and was the Regional Vice President for a privately held group of Hilton Garden Inns where he helped in the development of a Homewood Suites and an Embassy Suites by Hilton.
Currently, Alan is the Director, Facilities & Capital Improvements for Pacifica Hotels, and leads a team tasked with overall maintenance and upkeep of the portfolio of hotels ranging from infrastructure, operating systems, energy management, information technology, and capital improvements.
